Republican Collage and Responce

In my Republican collage it shows has pictures on McCain and Plain. McCain supports keeping out tropes in the war so I have a picture of marines having a shoot out in Iraq. I have quotes from the commercials on TV about McCain. One of them says, “Experience you can trust.” This quote tells the viewers that McCain has much more experience in office than Obama. Two other quotes I have say, “save small business” and “lower taxes.” McCain wants to lower taxis which in tern save small businesses.
Democratic Party collage and reflection

In my democratic collage is has a picture of both Obama and Biden. The Democratic Party in general thinks that having abortions are ok and want to keep them legal. Obama is part of the Democratic Party so he agrees with this, so I put a picture of an aborted baby. I have also put pictures on my collage from the democratic commercials for Obama. One of these quotes says, “Change” and “new hope.” These are the two main things that are used in these commercials. They try to tell the public that Obama will get in the white house and “change” everything for the better. Another quote they have been using, that are rely bad for McCain, says, “We cant have four more years of the same thing.” They try to say that McCain is very much like Bush and the public absolutely wants Bush out of office.

Obama suddenly came out of no where in the Democratic Party. The first thing you see in this picture is a sine saying “Democratic Convention” and two people holding up Hillary’s hands in the middle of them. This means that the Democratic Party strongly supports Hillary. The second thing you see in this picture is Obama standing on the side lines silently and a man supporting Hillary saying, “What is he doing here?!” This means that Obama appears out of no where when the Democratic Party doesn’t even know him. Obama came out of no where in the democratic party when his party is busy supporting Hillary.

McCain is running his chance of winning. The first thing you see in this cartoon is McCain saying, “My chances of winning are solid as a rock.” By McCain saying this he is meaning that he believes that he has a sure chance of winning. The second thing you see in this picture is a rock smashing a man, who was a supporter of McCain, with the word “Iraq” on it. This rock squishing an old supporter of McCain means that McCain has ruined his chances to win by loosing his supporters because of his position on Iraq. McCain has lost many supporters because of his position on Iraq which contradicts his belief of his chance of winning.

The government pretends to do good things for the people. The first thing you see in this picture is a man holding a puppet making it say, “Don’t bankrupt the mills. Don’t endanger our jobs. Stop the superfund.” The man holding the puppet in this cartoon represents the rich government employees and the puppet represents the people the government uses to control the public. The second thing you see in this cartoon is a mouse saying, “leave more money for your CEO’s golden parachutes.” This mouse is telling the public that the only reason the government wants to do these things the puppet is saying is because it makes the CEO’s more money. The only reason the government pretends to do things the people would like is because it makes them money.

Obama is not in touch with the general public. The first thing seen in this in this cartoon is Obama with a bitter face saying “I am sorry if my comments about bitterness in Middle America came across as elitist...” Obama’s face implies that he is angry, and his comments about Middle America imply that he look down on Mexicans. The punch line in this cartoon is when Obama says “I didn’t know the commoners were so sensitive.” This smart remark shown that he thinks of Mexicans as commoners, and that he doesn’t at all like them. Obama thinks of himself as more elite that others and shows that he is too out of touch with the “commoners.”

The Democratic Party thinks the general public is appealed just by Obama saying hope and change. The first thing you see in this picture is Obama giving a speech saying random nouns, and miscellaneous verbs followed by “blah blah blah…HOPE CHANGE,” and the crow cheers applauds. This portion of this picture represents Obama giving a speech to his supporters where he just “blabs” and then focusing on simply “hope” and “change.” The second thing you see in this picture is a donkey in soot telling another donkey in a suite , “This is getting easier by the minute.” These two donkeys represent the Democratic Party saying that giving a speech to Obama’s supporters is so easy that they can give poor speeches and focus on simply hope and change and the supporters will by happy. This cartoon shows how the democratic party thinks it is so easy to get the peoples support because all they have to do is get Obama to say, “Hope” and “Change.”
political cartoon
Voters lose interest when candidate don’t take actions to reinforce what they say. The first thing that is seen in this cartoon is Obama standing in front of a podium saying, “It is time for change.” Obama is, once again, saying that it is “time for change.” The second thing that is seen in this picture is a man walking past Obama saying, “Ok…I am changing to Hillary.” This man use to be an Obama supporter but he left Obama for Hillary because all he has heard Obama say is “change.” Obama just repeats change, but many people do not believe that he can up hold his words of change making him lose supporters.

Reflection of interview with Denise Wauters
Impacts of the three main sionce issues
Global Worming
This issue of global worming is horrible for the environment but will take an extreme change that will be very costly for the time. Over all fixing this issue will help both the economy and environment, but will make the economy struggle until it is finally fixed.
Nuclear Weapons
As agreed on by both parties, it is imperative that we keep creating nuclear weapons. If we don’t, other strong countries like Russia will create stronger weapons and there for have more control in global power.
Offshore drilling
Offshore drilling can help us greatly and can also heart us tremendously. Where ever we drill it will destroy the local environment in the environment. We need to be able to drill in the places that have the most oil and be able to find an alternative that will eventually eliminate our dependence on oil.
Candidates positions on global worming, nuclear weapons and ramifications of offshore drilling
Global Worming
Obama is highly against global worming and he went strait to telling his views it in his speech at University of Maryland, College Park on February 2. He promised to put mandatory caps on carbon dioxide emissions from industry. This will make the industries that have carbon dioxide emissions have to pay quite a bit of money to pay for the caps. Along with fuel the pledged make a fuel standard on 40 mpg’s. This will partially slow down the global worming America contributes to.John McCain vows to help fix global worming but doesn’t go any further that to tell the public that he is going to reduce our dependence on global worming. McCain hasn’t taken much of a hold on this issue, so for most environmentalists, they have moved more to supporting Obama because he actually has a plan for starting to fix global worming.
Nuclear Weapons
McCain strongly supports building and distributing nuclear weapons. He wants our country to never again be threatened be foreign nuclear weapons. He wants to spend 30 billion tax dollars to maintain and modernize our 10,000 nuclear weapons.
Obama is against using nuclear weapons, but says that he would not stop funding for building them in the United States. He tried not to talk too much about it in an interview he had. Although he was vague he was clear about the fact that he strongly against using nuclear weapons.
Offshore drilling
McCain is desperate to stop our dependence on foreign oil. He is so desperate that he is willing to sacrifice our environment just to start drilling offshore. In Florida the wild life has been protected from offshore drilling and now that they won’t to start drilling there, their wild life will soon start to die down. McCain was confronted about this in an interview he had on his campaign trail but he seemed adamant to continue his plan for offshore drilling despite the loss of wild life it will cause.
Obama opposes offshore drilling and doesn’t favor ending the law against offshore drilling. Although offshore drilling will help stop our dependence on foreign oil he wants to protect our waters ecosystem. In late July Obama told The Palm Beach Post that he is willing to compromise about energy policy that can bring down gas prices. He is not saying he is going to completely rid our country of offshore drilling, but he is saying he wants to be more eco-friendly. Obama’s plan for offshore drilling wont have the quickest results compared to McCain’s but his will end up saving environments that would have been destroyed by McCain.

Mission statements for candidates
